any ideas?

This is what I started this week. It kind of looks like it's on some other planet or something, not really sure if that's what I want. I like the colors but I know this needs a lot more!  any ideas?

  1. Perhaps some texture overlay across the whole image or a photo filter to give all of the colors the same underlying tint. The work this semester is looking a bit flat, is this intentional?

  2. I think it kinda depends on what kind of mood you want to portray. They look like lonely flowers. Should I feel lonely? I can also imagine their seeds blowing off in the wind (possible thread addition?). That would suggest they're old and passing on their offspring. I definitely agree that there should be some texture. All your other pieces have an awesome texture going on in the background, and I don't see any reason to not do that with this one. Looks good so far. Keep us updated.

  3. I think the reason they're looking so flat this semester is most of my pieces last semester were an entire photograph, so the atmospheric perspective created itself! This semester I was trying to only use some photographic elements and create the atmosphere on my own. I'm just having a little trouble figuring it all out. But I definitely agree that there should be some overlaying texture. I don't think I want it to make you feel lonely, but that helps to know that it does. I like the idea about the seeds blowing off so I'll keep that in mind!
